The Artemis House Shelter provides safe, temporary shelter to those who are fleeing from domestic violence and sexual assault in Butte, Harding, and Lawrence counties. Advocates are available from 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday and an on-call advocate is available after hours, on weekends and holidays. We provide support and advocacy to those who utilize our shelter services and help them through difficult and uncertain life transistions.
The 7 bedroom shelter was completed in 2012 and is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is drug, alcohol, and violence free.
Support services include:
- moral support
- safety planning
- domestic violence education
- assistance finding affordable housing, employment, transportation
- accompaniment when seeking medical attention, legal or court services
- community referrals.
