The Artemis House receives generous donations from individuals and businesses in our communities. Your donations directly benefit families at the shelter who are experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Donations are an important boost to our services and programs and significantly reduce the cost of operating out shelter.

Donations of Goods

Do you already have items you would like to donate? Here are some examples of NEW/UNUSED items we will gladly accept donations of:

  • pillows

  • small laundry baskets

  • journals

  • planners

  • water bottles

  • coffee

  • womens underwear

  • large tubs for storage can be used/clean (any size is appreciated - standard size is about 18 gallon)

Some items we CANNOT accept donations of:

We often get calls about donating some items that we just don't have storage for in the shelter. We really appreciate the generosity! We would recommend taking these things to St Vincent de Paul, as they are partnered with us to help provide our guests with the things that they need.

Items we typically cannot accept donations of:

  • used clothing

  • stuffed animals

If you have mattress or furniture donations, we can accept if they can be delivered and coordinated for client use. Contact 605-642-7825 ext 212 for coordination.
